Programs & Services Overview

Deciding to join a treatment program for mental health is a crucial step towards your future health and happiness. It's understandable to feel nervous about trying residential care for the first time, given the uncertainties about what lies ahead.

However, you can take comfort in knowing that the compassionate and seasoned team at Stonebridge Behavioral Hospital is ready to offer unwavering support to you or your loved one. Together, we embark on a journey towards lasting recovery.

  • The Adult Psychiatric Inpatient Program Stonebridge Behavioral Hospital is for adults, age 18 and older, experiencing emotional and behavioral problems, including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, and suicidal or homicidal behavior. Some patients may also have a secondary substance abuse diagnosis requiring treatment. The program stabilizes the crisis and enables the patient to return to the community with skills to promote personal and emotional development. Services are provided to assist the patient in developing skills to manage their symptoms and improve their coping skills. The program provides a multi-disciplinary approach administered under the direction of an attending psychiatrist.

  • Referrals for Stonebridge Behavioral Hospital, located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, can be made by anyone seeking help for themselves, a loved one or friend, a patient or client. Before a patient is admitted, they must undergo a physical health assessment by their physician or ED department to determine the level of care necessary to stabilize the patient. From there, we ask that patients and/or guardians fill out the appropriate paperwork, which can be found here. Delays in receiving the proper forms could slow down the admissions process.
